Beautiful weather, gardens in bloom, countless festivals and events… Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons in Charleston. It’s the perfect time to get out, explore and enjoy all that the Lowcountry has to offer. 

Here at Point Hope we’re looking forward to some of our favorite cultural, music and sports events of the year, taking place in venues across the region in the coming weeks. Here are just a few of the highlights:

Lowcountry Strawberry Festival
March 31-April 1-2 and April 6-7-8
Boon Hall Plantation & Gardens

This family-favorite event takes place each year at the height of strawberry season and highlights pick-your-own strawberries, carnival rides and a variety of entertainment on the farm fields at Boone Hall, plus strawberry shortcake, fresh strawberry lemonade, a strawberry pie eating contest and much more. Click here for a complete schedule of events.  

Credit One Charleston Open
April 1-9, 2023
Daniel Island’s Credit One Stadium

The world’s top women players on the WTA tour compete each spring on Daniel Island in this top-tier tennis event. The island’s beautiful and recently renovated Credit One Stadium is the perfect venue for a week of exciting competition and special events. Summerville Flowertown Festival
March 31 – April 2, 2023
Azalea Park, Summerville

The Summerville Family YMCA Flowertown Festival is one of the largest arts and crafts festivals in the country and consistently ranks among the top 20 annual events to attend in the Southeast. The three-day event features hundreds of artists, local food, activities for children and more in the heart of historic Summerville. Visit the event website for more information.

46th Annual Cooper River Bridge Run
April 1, 2023
Mt. Pleasant to Downtown Charleston

 Register for the third largest 10K in the country! The scenic race route starts in Mt. Pleasant, crosses the iconic Ravenel Bridge and finishes in the center of historic downtown Charleston. An average of 40,000 people participate every year. This event will raise  money for 11 wonderful charities through registration donations and fundraising events throughout the year. Spoleto Festival USA & Piccolo Spoleto Festival
May 26 – June 11, 2023
Venues in downtown Charleston and beyond

The Spoleto Festival is one of the largest performing arts festivals in the United States. For 17 days, renowned and new artists showcase their talents in over 150 opera, dance, theatre, classical music and jazz performances taking place in venues throughout Charleston. Simultaneously, many more events are produced by the City of Charleston as part of Piccolo Spoleto, which focuses on regional artists from throughout the Southeast. 8th Annual Charleston Jazz Festival
April 20 – 23, 2023

40th Annual North Charleston Arts Festival
May 3 – 7, 2023
