How to Fully Experience the Fourth of July in Charleston

Independence Day with the Charleston RiverDogs
Celebrate the Fourth with a little all-American baseball by attending the RiverDogs home game on Thursday, July 4th at The Joe! The game will conclude in a stunning fireworks display over the stadium and the Ashley River. Pro tip: Don’t feel like going to the game? Enjoy the fireworks from Brittlebank Park on the banks of the Ashley River.

Isle of Palms Fourth of July Celebration
The Isle of Palms fireworks show takes place on the Front Beach area on 21st Avenue. The beach between 21st Avenue and 3rd Sea Cabins will close at 6:30 pm for set up and preparation for the city’s fireworks display.

Patriots Point Fireworks Blast
You can climb aboard the USS Yorktown to experience the most patriotic 4th of July event in the Lowcountry. The Yorktown Decks open at 6 pm and the show starts once it’s dark. Pro Tip: Take your boat out and enjoy this show from Charleston Harbor, or enjoy it from downtown Charleston’s Waterfront Park!

Fourth of July Festival at Riverfront Park
Spend the Fourth of July at the beautiful Riverfront Park near Park Circle in North Charleston. You’ll experience what’s billed as the largest firework display in Charleston, plus live music and food trucks. Gates open at 5 pm and fireworks will be held at 9 pm.

Fourth of July Fireworks on Folly Beach
Have a blast on Folly Beach this Independence Day! The show will begin at dusk and will fire from the West side of the Island, just a few blocks from the pier. The City of Folly Beach asks that visitors please remember to celebrate responsibly and respect the beach and wildlife by removing trash and belongings when you leave.

The Sullivan’s Island Independence Day Party at the Park is back! The event will start at 6 pm with music, food, beverages and fireworks beginning shortly after 9 pm. Please note that dogs and alcohol are prohibited. Bring a chair or a blanket to get comfortable for the big show!

Independence Day Celebration on Kiawah Island
If you’re up for a road trip, Kiawah Island’s annual Independence Day Celebration in the Park is fun for the entire family. Festivities include live music, carnival games, a watermelon eating contest, delicious eats and more! Fireworks start at 9:15 pm at Night Heron Soccer Field.
